Think Pink !
Clashing colours were no hurdle to the first man in just under sixty years to walk up the red carpet in Cannes wearing a bright pink suit. Overriding any anti-masculin prejudice, it is with pride that John Dodelande states that bright colours are jam packed with vitamines – great for our body and mind !
Although we tend to relate pink to girls and blue to boys, the fact is things used to be the other way round. Pink was only suitable for men who were to be clearly seen and heard whereas women who were hardly to be noticed would wear subtle tones of blue. In Japan, wind fallen blossom is a symbol representing the young warriors who fell during the battle in the prime of life. Reminding us of sticky candy and rosy cheeks, this sweet shade is often associated with sensuality and indulgence - tasty treats are even said to sell more succesfully if wrapped in pink !
Sorted ! Lucious pink from top to tail.
Brighter pinks are said to be fun, exciting and passionate and so it goes, such a bold colour stimulates energy and can even increase the blood pressure. Lighter, softer pinks have a more soothing effect encouraging happiness and relaxation. Although some of us may not feel comfortable with the idea, John explains that pink is a state of mind and that it's only a case of breaking the ice !
Beyond clothing, a whole psychological study has been carried out showing the colour's daily effects on us - Ever wondered why you got on so well with your colleagues ? Said to encourage positive thinking, this luxurious colour is often used in offices and sports teams' locker rooms to create a tranquil friendly atmosphere.

Pink pink pink and more pink !
So what are you waiting for, go grab those pots of paint ! Pink is the new black and as the fashion disigner says himself, bright colours are jam packed with vitamines - great for our body and mind ! I bet you feel amazing after reading this…!
